Where will the trees be planted?
Answer

It’s never been more important to restore nature and biodiversity. This is why we’ve partnered with Greenfleet to grow legally protected, native Australian forests.
Greenfleet is a leading not-for-profit environmental organisation protecting our climate by restoring our forests. Greenfleet plants legally protected, native forests to restore nature, remove carbon, and grow wildlife habitat.
Since 1997, Greenfleet has planted over 11.2 million native trees across 550+ forests in Australia and New Zealand. As they grow, these forests absorb carbon, improve soil and water quality, and restore habitat for native wildlife, including many endangered species.
Our Tree Planting Projects
Ledcourt Forest, Central Victoria
Our initial trees were planted at Ledcourt, growing on Jardwadjali and Djabwurung Country adjacent to the Grampians National Park. Species planted include Australian blackwood, sweet bursaria, prickly tea-tree, and yellow box. The prickly tea-tree provides refuge for small birds, with flowers offering nectar for birds, insects and butterflies.
This forest extends habitat for kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and emus by creating wildlife corridors to the nearby national park. While the planting phase has now completed, the forest remains legally protected for 100 years, with ongoing monitoring ensuring long-term restoration outcomes.
Strzelecki Nature Link, South Gippsland
Since October 2025, trees planted by Vets for Climate Action members support the Strzelecki Nature Link. Growing on Boonwurrung Country in South Gippsland, Victoria, this project is establishing over 3km of legally protected koala habitat. Member contributions help create dense pockets of native vegetation that strengthen biodiversity across the landscape.
