POSITION DESCRIPTION

We're on the hunt for a new Board Director to join the Australian Veterinary Environmental Alliance (formerly Vets for Climate Action) as we step into an exciting new chapter.

AVEA mobilises vets, vet nurses and the broader animal care community to tackle the climate and environmental crisis: because we know that healthy animals, healthy people and a healthy planet all go hand in hand.

We're a small, dedicated team powered by passionate volunteers, and our Board plays a hands-on role in steering the organisation forward. If you have governance experience (or are keen to build it), a connection to the veterinary or sustainability world, and a genuine love for our mission, this could be the perfect way to give back.

What's involved:

• About 10–12 hours a month, including roughly six - eight board meetings a year plus committee work
• A three-year term, fully remote and flexible
• A warm, collaborative team who'll support you every step of the way
