RSPCA Animal Welfare Seminar - Animal Welfare in a Changing Climate, NGO Panel

Extreme weather events, prolonged droughts, fires and floods are devastating impacts of climate change that affect countless numbers of animals be they wildlife, farm animals or our pets. Species’ extinction, the mass death of animals, feed and habitat loss, and recovery and conservation are often foremost in people’s mind when these events occur, but animal welfare is often overlooked.

The RSPCA Animal Welfare Seminar 2022 is challenging speakers to focus on the animal welfare impacts of these events. The Seminar will examine the devastating effects of climate-induced events, approaches to managing animals in disasters, and adaptations and actions required to help address climate change and build resilience in our natural world and the animals in our care.
