Dr Peter Curl - Equine Program Development

Dr. Peter Curl is a regulatory veterinarian, with extensive experience in equine health management across Australia, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom. Peter’s career includes leadership roles overseeing welfare programs, regulatory compliance, and industry-wide initiatives that balance performance, ethics, and safety.

As Chief Veterinary Officer at Racing NSW (2022–2024), Peter provided expert counsel on equine health, biosecurity, and anti-doping strategies, introducing advanced diagnostic systems and spearheading education programs to foster future industry leaders. At the Hong Kong Jockey Club, he developed the HKJC Equine Welfare Plan, launched a global-leading Retirement Programme, and collaborated on groundbreaking welfare research, setting benchmarks in post-racing care.
