Partnering with Zoetis Australia

Vets for Climate Action (VfCA) and Zoetis Australia are proud to announce their new partnership, united by a mutual goal to advance sustainability in animal health for a better future for all animals.

In line with a One Health approach, VfCA and Zoetis Australia recognise that the health of animals, humans and the environment are interdependent, and that climate change is a significant global issue with wide-ranging impacts.

Zoetis has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, becoming carbon neutral in its own operations and sourcing 100% renewable electricity by 2030 [1]. As of December 31, 2023, 10 manufacturing sites globally, four commercial operations and two offices are now operating with 100% renewable electricity. Zoetis is managing its climate risks because it matters to the communities they serve, their colleagues, customers, the health of animals and those who care for them around the world.

VfCA CEO Steff Goldring says, “We’re pleased to be partnering with Zoetis Australia who is showing climate leadership in the veterinary sector, and working to reduce its impact on the animals we love and care for. Caring for animals means caring for the climate.”

With Zoetis’ support, Vets for Climate Action will continue to educate the profession on the impacts of climate change, drive more sustainable veterinary care, and advocate for strong leadership and strong climate action both within and beyond our profession.

Zoetis Senior Vice President & Cluster Lead for ANZ, Lance Williams says, “Zoetis is committed to supporting our customers and working with the veterinary industry to tackle global challenges. This partnership with VfCA will help support its members in their quest to reduce climate impacts.”

By sharing our expertise and commitment to healthier animals, we can create a world where animals and humans thrive in a healthy climate.
