Dr Angela Frimberger of VfCA, joined leading climate scientists, former and current emergency leaders, Indigenous fire practitioners, doctors, farmers, community leaders, social service providers, economists, mayors, bushfire survivors, and many other members of the community for the Emergency Leaders for Climate Action (ELCA) National Bushfire and Climate Summit 2020 over June and July 2020.

The report states that "No amount of remedial work can come close to dealing with the scale of recent losses,.."" and implores that "..we must focus above all on strengthening national and international efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prevent ever more dangerous levels of climate change."
