From Waste to Worth: How Vets Can Lead on Sustainability with Banish

Join Vets for Climate Action for our May Masterclass to hear from CEO and Founder of Banish, Lottie Dalziel on how vets can lead on sustainability.

At Banish, they believe education is the key to driving real environmental impact. They empower Australians with the knowledge, tools, and resources to make more sustainable choices— at home, at work, or in their communities.

Through their Banish Recycling and Diversion (BRAD) Program, they tackle hard-to-recycle items, ensuring they’re properly processed instead of ending up in landfill. But recycling is just one piece of the puzzle. Their mission extends beyond waste reduction to education and advocacy, helping individuals, businesses, and schools take meaningful action for the planet.

About the Presenter:

Lottie Dalziel is an award-winning sustainability advocate, educator, author, and founder of Banish, a platform dedicated to empowering Australians with the knowledge and tools to live more sustainably. Since launching Banish in 2018, Lottie has helped millions of Australians make more informed choices through education-first initiatives, including corporate workshops, community programs, and her pioneering Banish Recycling and Diversion (BRAD) Program, which successfully diverted over 1 million pieces of plastic waste from landfill in 2024 alone.

Recognised for her impact, Lottie was named NSW Young Australian of the Year in 2023 and has been featured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for her contributions to sustainability and entrepreneurship.
