In early July 2021, the Australian government awarded 3 grants totalling $21 million to a gas company seeking to frack the Beetaloo Basin in the Northern Territory. Vets for Climate Action are strongly against the further exploration for fossil fuels amidst the abundance of renewable resources and our submission to the Senate Standing Committees on Environment and Communications recommending the Instrument be repealed can be read here.
