Climate change is hurting the animals we love. It's hurting the animals we care for. It's hurting the animals we need.
The veterinary profession and broader animal care community are growing increasingly concerned about the impact of climate change on animals. And many of us experience first hand how extreme weather events - made more frequent and more severe by climate change - are distressing, displacing or killing our animals.
Whether you're a vet working on a cattle farm in regional Victoria, a vet nurse treating beloved pets at a small animal clinic in Sydney or a wildlife carer protecting wombats in WA, your voice will make a difference.
The more signatures we have, the more impact we'll have. Your support will back VfCA volunteers as they work with our industry bodies, negotiate with vet industry companies and lobby politicians.
By signing the below, you agree that:
- climate change is an animal welfare issue, and
- governments need to take action to halt climate change.
Together, your name, and the names of thousands of others in the veterinary and animal care community, will help convince those in power to take action. For a safe and healthy future for all animals.
