Bromadiolone: Not approved!

An application by the NSW DPI seeking emergency permission for use of an unregistered bromadiolone-based product around the perimeter of crops was submitted in May 2021 to combat the mouse plague ravaging the state. While we recognise that this wasn't directly related to climate, VfCA was nontheless extremely glad to hear the permit was not granted due to fears the product could lead to secondary poisoning of non-target species, and our chair Dr Jeannet Kessels penned a thank you letter to express our relief.
